REDUCE the energy usage of your conventional (incandescent) light bulbs, and prolong their life by installing dimmer switches. Better still, replace all your existing light bulbs with energy efficient bulbs, which can also be recycled at the end of their life span. The average household could save up to £200 a year this way.
RECYCLE Old incandecent bulbs aren't recyclable and should be thrown away. Fluorescent tubes and sodium lamps among others can be recycled at various sites.
