REDUCE your Christmas waste by:
- Trying to really think about the presents you buy and trying to source them locally and ethically
- Buying cards made from recycled card
- Supporting your local shops and craft people
- Recycling old Christmas cards: there are often collection points in Post Offices, council offices or shops.
REUSE the cards that you received from last year by using a Greeting Card Re-use 'Lick & Stick' label from Friends of The Earth. Or you could cut them up and use them as gift tags. Also you could keep and reuse any good quality wrapping paper and of course Christmas decorations can last for years.
RECYCLE any paper decorations that you don’t want through Swansea Council’s Green Bag Scheme, but its important to note that Christmas wrapping paper cannot be recycled.
