RECYCLE / Compost: Put wet leaves in a plastic bag, stab a fork in to make some holes, a year later you’ll have leaf mould. Even better, pick the leaves off the lawn with a grass mower, which will mix grass cuttings and chop the leaves up, and you’ll have leaf mould even more quickly. Don’t burn leaves as they produce highly carcinogenic smoke – particularly bad for babies and children. For more information on composting see Swansea Council’s website.
