Single Use Carrier Bag Consultation
The Welsh Assembly Government is asking for views on proposals to introduce a charge on single use carrier bags. This new charge will apply to a range of carrier bags, which are currently handed out free in many shops. Customers will have to pay the charge at the point of sale at all retail outlets, the suggested charge is between 5-15p per bag.
Cylch Zero Waste Programme Wales 2009 /2011
Cylch has been awarded £250,000 by the Welsh Assembly Government to administer a Zero Waste Programme Fund that shall:
"Provide funding for community based projects aimed at reducing residual waste disposal from selected communities, as close to zero as practicable".

1. What is the scheme?
The Wood Energy Business Scheme 2 (WEBS 2) is a £17 million pound capital grant scheme which draws down its funding from European ERDF funds via the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO), and will run until 2013.
Three types of project are eligible for grant support:
